For the villagers in Beauty and the Beast, Karen had bought some green skirts but she was not too sure about them. They were quite bright. She had a pretty hand-embroidered apron as inspiration and wanted the girls to have something similar.
It would have been too expensive to use hand-embroidered fabric, but on another trip to Fabricland I discovered just the thing. A very pretty striped floral fabric called Byzantine Roses which would be ideal. Twenty aprons later and they looked fantastic when teamed up with the bright green skirts and white frilly blouses.
I loved the way the aprons turned out that I bought some extra fabric and made a few more to sell on my craft stall and in my shop.
